Message haha i think about this a lot too. i even posted a similar thread on here a while back. what i've come up with as my hypotheses is that no doubt, gas will get more expensive. when gas gets expensive enough, the only cars still being driven will be collectible ones, like our z's. i think the plain dd's will be recycled as you said. on top of that, i don't expect that within our lifetime, this will become a MAJOR issue. sure gasoline cars will start to dwindle away on the roads, but i don't think i'll have to see the day that my z goes to the scrapper. what's more, i expect that whatever finally officially replaces gasoline vehicles will be better enough in some respect or another, that i could make the transition without too much kicking and screaming. in my research on hydrogen cars, with a 10 times faster burn rate than gas, the far extended range and power output will be pretty welcomed by me. but again, i'm not counting on having to see a whole lot of this in my day.
